U.S. attorney says he's not after the undocumented simply on status

The new U.S. attorney in the western district of Arkansas tells the Times-Record in Fort Smith that he plans to "prioritize the deportation of undocumented immigrants who are convicted criminals over those with clean records." And that's not all.

Duane "DAK" Kees told reporter Max Bryan that, given resources, going after people committing criminal acts first makes the most sense.

"I take that person off the street, and there is literally a reduction in crime. I have done something to better a community,” Kees said. “I take a mother or father of five who has been here illegally but has been here for 20 years, is raising a family and has a good job? I take him or her out of the home, and his or her only crime is being here? I don’t think I’ve done much good to that community.”
In light of Trump, Sessions and the children being jerked from families at the border, I'd say Dak Kees deserves a round of applause.
