We're pleased to introduce the pilot episode of a new Arkansas Times
interview podcast, "The Conversation"
with host Matt Price
talking to local folks of interest.
Here's Price's bio:
Matt Price is a recovering politico now working in technology, business, and marketing searching for the meritocracy. "The Conversation" was borne out of the desire to talk to people who really care about what they are doing and are focused on making things better.
In what he hopes will be a series of interviews with mayoral candidates, Price's first episode is a conversation with Frank Scott Jr.
, the Little Rock banker who is exploring a run for mayor.
In a wide-ranging talk, Scott talks about growing up in Southwest Little Rock and his impressions of Little Rock beyond that area (he didn't venture into Hillcrest or the Heights until he was an adult, he says); his time at Parkview High School, where he spent time studying dance; his support for the controversial 30 Crossing proposal at a highway commissioner; and about his ideas on economic development and public safety in Little Rock.
The episode was recorded before Scott filed his response to the Little Rock lawsuit
challenging his exploratory campaign's fundraising.
