UA's Victoria Maloch wins Marshall Scholarship

Victoria Maloch of Magnolia, a student at the University of Arkansas, has been named one of this year's 43 Marshall scholars and will study at Oxford in the fall.

The British government underwrites the prestigious competition for study in top British universities.

The UA said when she was named a finalist that Maloch is a 2017 Honors College graduate who majored in agricultural business with a minor in agricultural communications from the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences. She plans to pursue a Master of Philosophy in evidence-based social intervention and policy evaluation from the University of Oxford if selected to receive the scholarship.

She is the daughter of Sen. Bruce and Martha Maloch.
