LRPD release on homicide after club fight early today:

On 11/18/2017 at approximately 0323 hours Officers were dispatched to 4113 Asher Avenue in reference to a subject being struck by a vehicle. As officers were in route to the call they were advised that another caller advised that a female had run over a male at the same location. Upon arrival officers located a Dodge Caravan on the parking lot of Big Dawg Motorcycle Club. A black male victim was found near the vehicle with a large amount of blood around him. The victim was obviously deceased at the scene. Officers made contact with witnesses who stated that the victim and his wife had been involved in a disturbance inside the club with several other subjects. The disturbance spilled out onto the parking lot where a fight ensued. The victim’s wife, Kenia Hatchett, was transported to UAMS with injuries that were not life threatening. Detectives and CSSU personnel responded to the scene. There was evidence collected at the scene. Detectives interviewed witnesses who stated that the victim had been fighting with several subjects, including a subject by the name of Kenneth Lee, who was still at the scene. Witnesses also stated that Mrs. Hatchett attempted to run over the subjects involved and accidentally struck her husband. Detectives interviewed Lee who advised that he had been in an altercation with the victim and several other subjects. Lee stated that Hatchett’s wife got into her vehicle and tried to run over the other subjects involved two different times and in the process struck him and Hatchett. Detectives were unable to interview the wife who was still in the hospital. Lee was treated at the scene by medics and did not go to the hospital.

The deceased victim has been identified as Clyde Hatchett, B/M, 09/05/1972, of North Little Rock. Hatchett’s body has been transported to the medical examiner’s office to determine an exact cause of death. It appears that at some point during the altercation Hatchett was stabbed. Detectives interviewed Kenneth Lee and he was released without charges pending the outcome of the investigation. At this time detectives have not identified who else was fighting with Hatchett or who stabbed him. The subjects who assaulted Kenia Hatchett have not been identified at this time. Kenia Hatchett will be interviewed when she is released from the hospital.
