Here is the open line plus a release from State Police on a death of a woman following a struggle with Conway County officers:

Officials of the Conway County Sheriff’s Department have asked the Arkansas State Police to conduct an investigation involving an in-custody death that occurred Sunday, October 8, 2017.

During the 4 AM hour sheriff’s deputies responded to a disturbance call outside a residence at 29 Oliger Drive, near the Springfield community, north of rPlumerville.
As deputies approached the location they encountered Regina Twist, 36 of Hot Springs. An altercation reportedly began involving Twist and the deputies. In an attempt to gain control of Twist, deputies used chemical agent and a Taser.c
Twist was subsequently handcuffed and became unresponsive. Twist was transported to a Morrilton hospital where she later died.

Special Agents of the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division will collect evidence and statements of witnesses. The woman’s body is being transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for purposes of an autopsy to determine the manner and cause of death.

An investigative file will be submitted by the state police to the prosecuting attorney.
