The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that City Director Doris Wright was injured in a wreck after a man jumped in her VW convertible as she was driving today near 15th and Battery. The car crashed. Wright and the man, not yet identified, were injured and being treated at a hospital. The article quotes police as saying this wasn’t believed to be a “targeted” attack.

More here from KARK, which indicates Wright’s injuries are not believed serious. It indicates the man who jumped in her car had earlier unsuccessfully tried to carjack a family nearby.
