CYNTHIA ROBINSON: Identified as 1994 homicide victim.

The Pulaski sheriff’s office said today that advanced FBI fingerprint technology had provided the identification of a person found shot to death 23 years ago in a creek in the Palarm area northwest of Maumelle — Cynthia Robinson, then 35

The sheriff’s office hopes the new information could encourage leads in the case.

Fishermen found the body. The time in the water deteriorated fingerprints, but new technology established the identity of Robinson, who the sheriff’s office said had been working as a prostitute along Asher Avenue.

The FBI made the identification in March and since then deputies have talked to family and others.
