We can put to rest speculation that state Rep. Clarke Tucker (D-Little Rock) might join the field of mayoral candidates in 2018.

After the news came this morning that Frank Scott is jumping into the race for Little Rock mayor — joining incumbent Mark Stodola and state Rep. Warwick Sabin — Tucker told the Arkansas Times that he's ruled out running for the position. He didn't offer comment on his future plans at this time.

Tucker, who represents House District 35, was first elected to the Arkansas legislature in 2014.
