GAS STATION SITE: Zoning proposal delayed today.
A North Little Rock spokesman says a proposed rezoning for a convenience store/gas
station at Waterside and North Hills
has been delayed for Planning Commission consideration until at least Aug. 8.
A message from Nathan Hamilton said, " It is the applicant’s intention to hold this legislation until a future date. The applicant has heard from many people opposed to the rezoning, and has stated a desire to work on the proposal before bringing it before the Planning Commission."
, chairman of the Planning Commission, is owner
of the property. He has said he wouldn't participate in a decision on the rezoning, which has been hotly opposed by neighbors in the Lakewood subdivision.
The item had been on today's Planning Commission agenda.
