The Arkansas Lottery, thanks in part to a good June, finished the state fiscal year that ended June 30 ahead of budget projections.

The lottery had budgeted $80.9 million in net revenue, but made $85.277 million. June alone came in $900,000 over projections.

Lottery profits go to college scholarships. The outcome this year meant about $3,000 more was transferred to scholarship support than was transferred last year, in keeping with generally flat performance by the lottery over its life beginning in 2009.
