A crowd supporting the continuation of the Affordable Care Act against Republican onslaughts descended on Little Rock offices of U.S. Sens. Tom Cotton and John Boozman today.
At Cotton’s office, security allowed only 10 at a time in the office proper.
At least 11 groups participated: Planned Parenthood, Arkansas ADAPT, AR State NAACP Youth & College Divison, AR Community Organizations, Arkansas – Our Revolution, Be The
Change Alliance AR, Democratic Socialists of AR, Faulkner County Indivisible, Indivisible Little Rock and Central Arkansas, Progressive Arkansas Youth, Saline County Progressives PAC, UltraViole
Said a release:
This direct action is in response to the so-called “Better Care Reconciliation Act” (BCRA), a catastrophic health care bill that would leave 22 million Americans without health insurance while blocking Medicaid patients from accessing Planned Parenthood. During this July 4th Congressional recess, U.S. Senators should be meeting with their constituents, but remarkably, only a few U.S. Senators are taking the time to do so and Senators Cotton and Boozman are choosing not to facilitate important conversations
