"As the First Lady has stated publicly in the past, when her husband gets attacked, he will punch back 10 times harder," her communications director Stephanie Grisham said in response to reporters' questions.Whining snowflakes need a safe room, don't you think? The suggestion that you can bully a man in the possession of the nuclear football says a whole lot more about Trump's insecurity than about Mika and Joe.
Melania Trump has previously said that as First Lady she wants to focus on the problem of cyberbullying.
The president's deputy press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, was asked about the offensive tweets during an interview on Fox News Thursday morning.
Sanders suggested that Trump was responding to the "outrageous attacks that take place" on "Morning Joe" and other shows.
"This is a president who fights fire with fire," Sanders said, adding that the president refused to be "bullied."
