U.S. Rep. Rick Crawford
and U.S. Sen. John Boozman
have ripped Donald Trump's new Cuba policy.
Crawford even posted a slick slide show on Twitter.
Right on. The best thing for Arkansas rice farmers and for systemic change in Cuba is to continue encouraging the fever for capitalism there. After a two-day stop in Havana, I can tell you that the genie (the profit motive) is out of the bottle, even if much remains to be done to improve Cuban leadership.
Sen. Tom Cotton,
who usually races to find a TV camera on headline news, is silent so far. Rep. French Hill
also was quiet.
Gov. Asa Hutchinson,
who's made a trip to Cuba,
appeared to triangulate. Or something. His statement, thanks to KARK:
Perhpas he's in a league with Vox, which explains that,
for all Trump's tough talk, his new Cuba policy isn't as tough as he suggests.
