ME, TOO: Josh Duggar seeks damages over publicity about his investigation for molesting sisters.
hat Josh Duggar
wants in on the lawsuit filed by three of his sisters over release of information about his molestation case.
Police investigated whether Duggar had molested sisters. No charges were filed. But documents on the case were released to a celebrity publication, In Touch. That drove him out of his position as a political operator for a religious organization.
Three sisters have sued the publication
and local officials for invasion of privacy and now Josh Duggar wants to get in on the action for cash damages, too.
Duggar says once the story came out, it caused him mental anguish and humiliation. He played up the sympathy card in the docs, saying he was "victimized and forced to relieve the painful and difficult circumstances of a traumatic experience as a juvenile."
Duggar's intervention motion was filed by Travis Story, t
he Fayetteville lawyer who's become something of the go-to representative for conservative religious figures and organizations, such as Eccelsia College, enmeshed in the legislative bribery case.
His motion, filed last week.
