State money report remains flat

The state tax take in May continued a generally flat trend — net revenue for the month was up .3 percent from May 2016 and, for the year, gross revenues are up 1 percent for the first 11 months of the year. They are also well ahead of forecast because of a recent budget reduction.

A variety of facts make direct comparisons difficult, including a big court tax refund that helped sales tax collections and less-than-expected tax refunds. (No kidding. I've been waiting more than six weeks for mine.)

Here's the full report.
