today are looking for someone who swindled $220 out of a local Subway
sandwich outlet by claiming he needed the money to bail the manager out of jail. Said police:
An employee of the store on Audubon Drive said a man called about 8:30 p.m. and claimed to be with the Pulaski sheriff's office. He said the restaurant manager, whom he named, had been arrested and money was needed for bail. The caller said a relative would come to the restaurant to pick up the money.
Soon after, a man claiming to be the manager's brother-in-law arrived to pick up money (and was photographed on surveillance video). The employee turned over money in the register. The employee later called the manager's cell phone and learned she had not been arrested.
