U.S. Rep. Bruce Westerman held a Biscuits with Bruce event this morning in Hot Springs Village, free and open to the public, according to eventbrite.

Critics of Westerman found out not all were welcome. They weren't allowed admittance, Garland County Democrats reported, and supported by Facebook live video. A narrator also says people were being stopped at the gate of Hot Springs Village despite having an invitation from a Village resident.

It is a campaign event, not a town hall. As described on eventbrite:

Please join us at this campaign breakfast event to visit with Congressman Westerman and his other grassroots supporters. Special guests will include Congressman French Hill, Lt. Governor Tim Griffin, Attorney General Leslie Rutledge and Land Commissioner John Thurston. Entertainment will be provided by the Hot Springs Village Big Band.

While this is a free event, you must reserve your spot and RSVP here.
It's a good opportunity for video. The pavilion is open. Perhaps those outside can hear what Bruce Westerman has to say about Donald Trump's firing of FBI Director James Comey. Through yesterday, Westerman had avoided comment.

The resistance persists. If you have 15 minutes or so, here's the video:
