Here's your Saturday night open line, plus a bit of news.
Gov. Asa Hutchinson
has now declared 36 counties and two cities disaster areas in the recent flooding, which still threatens many along the White River.
The disaster list is here.
The two cities are Little Rock
and North Little Rock,
which threw me a bit, given the flooding in Pocahontas
with absence of similar here. We suffered quite a bit of tree damage, however.
A spokesman for the governor surmises that Pocahontas and some other inundated towns may have been covered in the countywide declarations. Cities must request the designation to be covered. The declarations clear the way for certain kinds of relief.
