His own Facebook page describes Joshua Mahony as a nonprofit executive “focused on affordable education for sustainable income, women and minority empowerment.”

Those are not exactly focuses of the current congressman in the 3rd District, Republican Rep. Steve Womack.


From the web: Born in El Dorado and a Fayetteville resident for 17 years, Mahony’s nonprofit activities including serving as Board chair of the Ozark Literacy Council and president of the Arkansas Single Family Scholarship Fund. He has a family business, EAM, dedicated to natural resource management and ran unsuccessfully for the Democratic nomination for Washington County judge in 2016. He’s a pilot and has been chairman of the Fayetteville Airport Commission. Twitter page gives you a flavor of his solidly Democratic politics.
