HOW BAD IS THE HOUSE TRUMPCARE PLAN? So bad that Sen. Tom Cotton warns against voting for it.
Here's your Sunday open line.
Weird day on the health care front. Among the headlines:
Gov. Asa Hutchinson,
a Republican, says the House Republican plan to repeal and replace Obamacare is "inadequate."
No kidding. It would rape and pillage the Medicaid expansion Hutchinson supports in Arkansas, even the reduced coverage he intends to produce by punitive rules to show he can show a sufficient coldness to the deadbeat working poor. ....... Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price
said — I kid you not — "nobody will be worse off financially" under the GOP health plan
. Maybe he means "nobody [of my millionaire friends] will be worse off financially. " His statement is a lie. He's being hooted at everywhere .... U.S. Sen. Tom Cotton
(angling for vice president appointment after Trump quits or is impeached or for president after the Trump debacle) lined up yet another national morning show appearance today and gave some sound advice: He urged House Republicans not to vote
for Paul Ryan's plan (currently warmly endorsed by President Trump) because it is so bad, it will "put the House majority at risk net year." It can't pass the Senate, he said. It also sucks. .... Consider Tom Cotton's wingman, Bill Kristol,
who tweeted this morning:
Oh and check your local rural hospital and ask them
how they'll stay in business and care for all the newly uninsured.
