Several note that Mullenix draws money from both the nursing home lobby, which pushed the tort reform amendment, and Arkansas judges, including the Supreme Court, who've opposed the portion of tort reform that strips the Supreme Court of rule-making authority. Wonder which hat Mullenix wore on this one.
Reception, 5-7 p.m., Next Level Events, Arkansas Valley Alliance for Economic Development
. (It's underwritten by the Russellvillle Chamber of Commerce.
Lunch, 11:30, Association of Arkansas Counties Building, Arkansas Circuit Clerks Association.
PS: The tribute to Jon Woods is because the indicted former senator snookered an ethics group into amending its ideas with a bunch of legislature friendly features — longer terms, higher pay, get-out-of-jail-free card on ethics violations and a number of loopholes that kept the free food and drink coming.
UPDATE: Here are at least a couple of the free committee throwdowns:

Dinner, 6 p.m., Whole Hog Cafe, the Insurance and Commerce Committees get a feedbag courtesy of the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas
