The Buffalo River Watershed Alliance
is continuing its fight against potential pollution of the national river by hog waste.
It has filed objections to tentative approval from the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality
for a new permit for the C and H hog feeder operatio
n on the banks of a major Buffalo River tributary at Mount Judea. The new permit anticipates no discharges from the operation, which the alliance says its not likely without major changes in how the business handles liquid animal waste.

Question: Do we have environmental regulation anymore in the U.S.? The head of the EPA and the attorney general of Arkansas say it's bad for business.
