State Police reports shooting of juvenile by Osceola police during arrest

The Arkansas State Police is reviewing a police shooting of a juvenile this morning in Osceola during an attempted arrest of robbery suspects.

The release:

The Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division is investigating an officer involved shooting that occurred this morning (February 24th) in Osceola, AR involving three juvenile subjects.

At approximately 1:40 am, the Osceola Police Department responded to a call of a robbery at the Shell gas station (4610 West Keiser St) located along I-55 in Osceola. Multiple OPD officers arrived and took one subject into custody, as another subject attempted to enter a vehicle in the parking lot that did not belong to him. One of the officers attempted to remove the juvenile from the vehicle and discharged their weapon, striking the subject. The subject was transported to a hospital in Memphis.

A third juvenile ran from the scene.

No law enforcement officers were injured during the incident. 
WREG in Memphis reports that the 16-year-old who was shot was treated at a Memphis hospital but is now back home.
