Three shot in robbery at Asher Avenue restaurant

Little Rock police report that three people suffered gunshot wounds late Monday at the Kitchen Express on Asher Avenue. One person has been charged with robbery.

Events are somewhat hazy, as a police news release indicates:

On 09/12/16 at approximately 2306 hours, Officers responded to St. Vincent ER in reference to a shooting victim. Upon arrival Officers made contact with Malik McDaniel (B/M, 04/30/1996, of Little Rock) and Shaneice Ervin (B/F, 10/08/1996, of Little Rock) who stated that they had been shot while at Kitchen Express on Asher Ave. McDaniel was suffering from a gunshot wound and Ervin was suffering from a gunshot wound. A short time later Officers responded to UAMS ER in reference to another shooting victim Kitchen Express.

Officers made contact with Fitzgerald Moore (B/M, 08/19/1989, of Little Rock) who was outside the ER next to his car that was used to transport Demetrice Johnson (B/M, 12/11/1990, of Little Rock). Officer made contact with Johnson who was suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers responded to Kitchen Express where they located a crime scene.

McDaniel, Ervin, and Moore were transported to the Major Crimes Division. Johnson was in surgery at this time and was not interviewed. After further investigation tt was determined that the child of McDaniel and Ervin was in the vehicle during the incident and was safely turned over to family members at the hospital. As a result McDaniel and Ervin were charged with felony Endangering the Welfare of a Minor due to the circumstances surrounding the incident. Moore was charged with Aggravated Robbery. At this time charges are pending on Johnson upon his release form the hospital. This investigation is ongoing.
