Attorney General Leslie Rutledge
LESLIE RUTLEDGE: Throw the Clintons out.
is listed as author of this polemic on Independent Journal Review
, a Republican-backed website, urging a vote for Donald Trump for president.
As Americans tune in to the debates and news, I hope they turn out to vote and throw out the Clintons.
Bill and Hillary Clinton launched their careers of corruption when he was Attorney General of Arkansas – the very same office I hold today. Since they entered public life in the 1970s, their careers have been riddled with deception, dishonesty and scandals at every turn, and I am confident that if Hillary wins the White House, this time will be no different.
And goes downhill from there. Hillary would be a third-term Obama. Trump is a leader.
Facts don't matter much.
She calls herself the state's chief legal officer. True in title, even if the direction comes from outside and the lifting is being done by ideologues she's brought in.
Instructive would be a comparison of Hillary Clinton's educational and work record and the spotty resume that Rutledge carried into her office, a succession of nowhere legal jobs including a short-lived state job in which she did so poorly her supervisor said she could not be rehired.
Dishonest dark money propelled her into office
on the red tide that washed over Arkansas. If it worked here, why not the U.S.?
Rutledge pontificating on high standards reminds me of when the Crosscheck voter system overseen by Secretary of State Mark Martin
indicated she was registered in two states. You'd think she'd have some interest in looking into Martin's efforts to wrongly purge thousands from state voter rolls. But not after Mark Martin engineered a fat state job for her daddy doing — guess what? — overseeing elections. She's also busy turning out an op-ed for a Republican organ to advance the cause of what one commentator called the most dishonest presidential candidate in history.
