Hillary Clinton’s running mate, Tim Kaine, will be in Little Rock this afternoon for a private fund-raiser at the Chenal Valley home of Mike and Deborah Roberts.  Ticket prices start at $2,700, but there are host, co-chair and chair slots available for $5,000, $25,000 and $50,000.

Roberts is a long-time Democrat, but he’s had bipartisan connections. Former Democratic Gov. Mike Beebe joined the Roberts group after leaving office at a time when Asa Hutchinson III, son of the Republican governor, was of counsel to the Roberts law firm. He’s no longer with the firm.  Gov. Hutchinson reappointed Roberts to a seat on the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. Hutchinson also appointed Roberts’ brother, Bud, as Alcoholic Beverage Control Divisiona director.
