on the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine, which will open its second location on the Arkansas State University campus tomorrow.
It's the first osteopathic medicine program (and the second medical school) in the state. The inaugural class will have 120 students.
The NYIT-ASU partnership was in the news last week when ASU released emails
appearing to show that former ASU Chancellor Tim Hudson tried to get sweetheart financial aid deals from NYIT and other institutions for a family member. In addition to asking whether there was a way to be "mutually helpful," Hudson corresponded with an NYIT official about the possibility of providing tuition discounts to dependents of employees of the two institutions.
