DNC apologizes for "inexcusable remarks made over email"

Statement from the Democratic National Committee on the emails leaked by WikiLeaks, which included disparaging remarks about Bernie Sanders and the Sanders campaign:

The emails were acquired by hackers suspected of working for Russian intelligence, leading to questions about whether Russian President Vladimir Putin is attempting to influence the American election (Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook is among those making that argument).

Meanwhile, Sanders himself sent out the following text to his supporters today: "I ask you as a personal courtesy to me to not engage in any kind of protest on the floor."
