The world news is, unfortunately, momentously bad. The third mass killing in three days — this time with more than 140 dead in Baghdad. And police are investigating a small explosion that took off part of a man’s leg in New York’s Central Park. Preliminary reports say this doesn’t appear to be an act of terrorism, but perhaps an experiment of some sort gone bad.
