James Thweatt, who's organized a kiss-in Friday to demonstrate support for the LGBT community and love and tolerance in general, says the event has been moved from Sen. Jason Rapert's office in Conway to the state Capitol. It will still be at 1 p.m. Friday. All are welcome.

He said indications from removal of a sign and presence of movers are that Rapert is vacating his Conway office. Without a better location to specifically demonstrate at a location tied to Rapert — a devoted foe of LGBT rights — he said the decision was made to move the event to the steps of the Capitol. There, he said, the demonstration will "express our discontent with the lack of public expression of sympathy from elected Republican leaders in Arkansas for the LGBT victims of the Orlando shooting AND their continued war against the LGBT community. We will schedule another event specific to Sen. Rapert for another time in the future."

Here's the Facebook page for the event.
