Little Rock City Director Brad Cazort told me this morning that he won't be seeking re-election this year to another term in the Ward 4 seat on the Board.

"Twenty years is enough," he said.

Trio's restaurant owner Capi Peck earlier had announced for the seat, but he said that hadn't entered into his decision. "I expect an opponent every election, I just didn't get one the last three. I seriously thought about not running four years ago."

Cazort, 60, is a lawyer and administrator at the Arkansas Crime Information Center.

Four seats are open on the ballot this year. The petition gathering process to make the ballot begins June 1. At-large Director Joan Adcock, the longest tenured board member, will be seeking re-election. She already has a promising opponent, Molly Miller. The seats of at-large directors Gene Fortson and Dean Kumpuris also are on the ballot. They haven't announced plans. Clayton Johnson and Antwan Phillips are among those who've expressed an interest in running for unspecified seats.
