An open line: Plus, Hillary's car sold and Central High politics

OLDS SOLD: Seller reportedly got $60,000.
  • OLDS SOLD: Seller reportedly got $60,000.
Here's the Sunday open line, with a couple of items of interests.

* HILLARY'S CAR: A Gettysburg, Pa., man who bought Hillary Cliton's 1986 Oldsmobile from her after she moved in 1992 to the White House where he was a groundskeeper, apparently has sold the car for $60,100, if the eBay sale clears. That report from a TV station in Pennsylvania. The car has a Clinton for Governor stocker and 33,000 miles on the odometer. The seller paid $2,000 for the car.

* CENTRAL HIGH POLITICS: A friend sends word of student body elections at Central High School in Little Rock. Elected president by acclamation was CJ Fowler, stepson of former Attorney General Dustin McDaniel. The vice president is Payton Wiliams, daughter of former student body president and former state representative Darrin Williams. Fowler is one of a bare handful of presidents elected by acclamation. Others were Ralph Brodie, president in the crisis year, 1957-58, and the late Roosevelt Thompson, killed in a wreck his senior year at Yale, shortly before leaving for England for a Rhodes Scholarship.
