The Washington Examiner reports
that Marco Rubio backers in Arkansas (most of the Republican political establishment) are working with Ted Cruz to pack the Arkansas Republican National Convention delegation with people who’ll vote for Cruz if Donald Trump isn’t chosen the presidential nominee by delegates pledged on the first ballot to winners of state primaries and caucuses.

This follows a pattern in other states. Trump lacks organization. Cruz is working state delegations assiduously. Trump carried Arkansas with 32.8 percent of the vote to Cruz’s 30.5, with Rubio at 24.9 percent.

By the way: Washington Post reports that backers of Hillary Clinton hope that GOP Convention chaos brought about by this finagling (Trump is already crying foul) will help their candidate. See ad prepared by super PAC supporting Clinton.
