Maine Gov. Paul LePage endorses Donald Trump

Another one: Republican Gov. Paul LePage of Maine, who previously backed Chris Christie, endorsed Donald Trump for president this afternoon. It's another natural fit — LePage is a former businessman with authoritarian instincts known for making outrageous or racist remarks. He has said the NAACP "can kiss my butt"; has called the IRS "the new Gestapo"; reportedly said that President Barack Obama "hates white people"; and said that a Democratic leader in the Maine legislature "claims to be for the people but he’s the first one to give it to the people without providing Vaseline."

LePage recently made headlines by blaming Maine's growing drug problem on "guys with the name D-Money, Smoothie, Shifty; these types of guys, they come from Connecticut and New York, they come up here, they sell their heroin, they go back home. Incidentally, half the time they impregnate a young, white girl before they leave, which is a real sad thing because then we have another issue we have to deal with down the road."

So anyways, it seems like LePage and Trump will get along just fine.
