A Little Rock police SWAT unit was used late Sunday as officers arrested the third suspect in an attempted robbery and shootout Saturday with a police officer at the Red Lobster restaurant on West Markham Street.

Police surrounded a house at 32nd and Tyler, reportedly the home of the suspect's girlfriend, about 10:40 p.m. Sunday. Reporters on the scene said an arrest followed the firing of gas canisters into the house. Kenneth Nelson, 25, of Little Rock, who'd been inside, was taken into custody.

Two other suspects, including a juvenile who was wounded in the shootout with Officer Shawn Bakr, had been arrested earlier. Bakr is recovering from a gunshot wound to the shoulder and is expected to fully recover.
