Gov. Asa Hutchinson
is mighty proud he got to ring the bell to open trading today on the New York Stock Exchange.

He follows, in recent days, the New York Boat Show, the Baseball Hall of Fame, CEO of Medifast (the weight loss powder), Rising Tide Capital, Onocyte Corportation, Trinity Place Holdings, NYSE Regulation and Big Apple Circus.

There are ceremonial bell ringers to close the day, too. For example, had you been watching Dec. 28, you'd have seen Gary U.S. Bonds (an aging R&B singer famous for "New Orleans" and "Quarter to Three.") The closing bell ringer today will be Jane Lynch, star of CBS' series "Angel from Hell." Ding dong.

Hutchinson made appearances on cable shows, too, and touted his computer coding education plan.
