Multiple civilians and police officers were reportedly injured after Colorado Springs, Colorado officers responded to reports of an active shooter at a local Planned Parenthood location.
A local reporter has been tweeting from the scene.
The shooter at this point, 2:55 p.m., has not been contained.

from the scene that indicates police are still encountering gunfire. There's some confusion about whether the casualties occurred in, or near, the Planned Parenthood building. The 911 call came from the clinic. Police reports shots still being fired from undisclosed location. Planned Parenthood says it cannot confirm yet whether it was a target.
UPDATE: at 4:45 p.m, the situation was not resolved. But police have been quoted on camera as saying shots have been exchanged inside the Planned Parenthood building by officers and a suspect. At least four wounded people have been hospitalized, but some TV reports have put the casualty number at
At 5:06 p.m., police said the scene was "not stabilized." Even if the shooter is arrested or killed, he brought unspecified items in bags into the building that will require checks, a police spokesman said. This is a reference to a potential that the gunman took explosives inside. The gunman has exchanged shots with officers in the Planned Parenthood building. People have been removed from the building. It's unknown if others remain inside or if there are hostages. The suspect has not talked to police, only fired at them. A local TV station quoted witnesses as describing the suspect is a white man with a beard, wearing a long jacket and a hunting cap.
6 PM UPDATE: CBS reports the gunman has surrendered. Good. Perhaps this can be unraveled to some degree. The death toll is at three
