First they come for your schools, then your speech

From the Los Angeles Times, another example of the Walton billions and other wealthy people put to work to damage those with whom they disagree.

It's about a California lawsuit aimed at crippling political activity by unions — teachers groups in this case. Walton money is bankrolling the effort.

The lawsuit is pitched — dishonestly the Times columnist shows — as protection of free speech for union members. It's the sort of 1st Amendment protection Kim Davis favors. That is, you can say or do whatever you wish as long as I approve of it.

When the Waltons complete the privatization of public schools through unaccountable charter management organizations there will, of course, be no teacher unions.
