Gov. Asa Hutchinson
plans to talk to reporters at 10 a.m. this morning from Cuba.
Hutchinson's outreach to Cuba is highly popular with the agriculture industry in Arkansas. Coincidentally, his visit occurs as the Obama administration — normally fighting words in these parts — is stepping up its efforts to restore normal relations with Cuba. While Hutchinson is in Havana seeking opportunities for Arkansas, President Obama will be meeting in New York
with Cuban President Raul Castro.
Obama and Arkansas's top Republican official on the same page. How about that?
