I joked last week about a Bill Kristol Twitter post mulling a Dick Cheney-Tom Cotton presidential ticket
in 2016. A little humor, I thought, spinning off Cheney's plan to be in Arkansas to raise money for U.S. Sen. John Boozman.
But no. Here, in an interview with CNN, Kristol
(famous for giving the world Sarah Palin
), says he couldn't support Donald Trump if he's the Republican nominee and would prefer a third-party independent ticket led by Dick Cheney or Tom Cotton.
Cheney or Cotton? I think this is what's known as a Hobson's choice.
Trump, on Twitter, seems unconcerned.
