* PLANNED PARENTHOOD DEFENSE: The U.S. Justice Department has sued in federal court in Louisiana to stop Gov. Bobby Jindal from ending Medicaid payments to Planned Parenthood for legal gynecological services. It impedes legally required free choice of doctors for patients. Does this mean the Justice Department will file also in Arkansas against Gov. Asa Hutchinson's equally punitive move against Planned Parenthood? If not, a private lawsuit is planned before the ban takes effrect Sept. 14.
* WES BENTLEY: The Arkansas native movie star was interviewed by Larry King about a variety of topics — his struggle with drug abuse, the death of his friend Heath Ledger, the coming season on the American Horror Story, Lady Gaga and more.
He also criticizes Arkansas's recently adopted "religious protection" law, intened to provide a pretext for discrimination against LGBT people. He called it "institutional bigotry." He also talked about why modern America has no need for the Confederate flag.
