is stepping down as executive director of the Razorback Foundation
effect Sept. 1 to take a job with Vold Vision in Fayetteville. A successor hasn't been announced. Details here.
Rochelle held the job for a bit more than two years.
The Foundation serves as a way to extend tax deductions for people who pay premiums for football and other Razorback sports tickets and also as a way to shield much of the money raising and spending from public view, apart from annual federal tax statements.
At some major universities, all fund-raising activities have been consolidated and obviously — as opposed to discreetly and indirectly — controlled by university officials. The person selected as the next director might reflect how effective Athletic Director Jeff Long
has been in extending his leadership over this nominally private and independent operator. It is, of course, anything but.
