Monticello Live rounded up what news there was to report from an uneventful Ku Klux Klan rally held near Monticello Saturday night, including the ritual cross burning.
Some 40 officers from a variety of agencies
were on hand in the event of problems.
Monticello Live reports that
8 to 12 robed men took part in the ceremony late Saturday. Earlier in the day, one anti-Klan protester and a handful of "peace and love" signs turned up on the town square.
