is a chart laden with significance. It shows that the comparative value of $100 is higher in Arkansas than in any state save Mississippi.

By this figuring — based on comparisons of cost of certain goods — you can buy more than $114 worth of goods for $100 in Arkansas, against, say, $84 in Washington, D.C., or $86 in New York. Don't tell your boss. It means you can work cheaper. Oh, you say you already are? Of course it means the fat cats can live fatter, too. So before the state forks over $100 million to somebody like Lockheed Martin, remember that it is already enjoying a huge edge in value on dollars spent in Arkansas.
