A tipster spotted Attorney General Leslie Rutledge displaying a left-hand diamond ring to friends at lunch today and her office confirms the symbolism

The attorney general became engaged to be married over the weekend. Her husband-to-be: Boyce Johnson of Marion.

Seeking more details, of course, including date. Rutledge, who turned 39 last month, has not been married previously. Johnson also has not been married before.

UPDATE: No date has been set.

Johnson is a soybean farmer in Marion. They have been dating since 2013 when they met at the Farm Bureau Convention. He received a B.S. degree in agriculture in 1982 as an animal science major at the University of Arkansas. He's a former president of the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences Alumni Society board of directors.
