Here's an open line, today's news video and also, from KUAF, our headline of the day:

Feral Swine Herds Invading Arkansas, Missouri

In Arkansas, land of the Razorback, it's almost poetic, in an end-times sort of way. Here's the story on the nuisance hogs.

Also:

* PRIORITIES: U.S. Rep. Bruce Westerman would rather use federal dollars to build highways than pay for health insurance for working people. Really.

* CAPITAL MURDER VERDICT: The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that it took a Pulaski Circuit Court jury only 45 minutes to convict Darrell Dennis of capital murder in the 2013 slaying of 18-year-old Forrest Abrams. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole. Abrams was abducted by men he'd encountered with a companion while buying drugs and shot after an effort to rob him of money. The case drew huge attention because Dennis was a parolee who was never returned to prison despite numerous arrests following his parole.
