Two killed in Little Rock shootings


Little Rock Police Lt. Sidney Allen says two people were killed  in unrelated shootings about 3:45 p.m. today.

A man  was killed (not a woman as originally reported by police) at 1906 E. Capitol and a second person was killed at 1704 S. Fillmore. Both addresses are in residential neighborhoods.


17th Fillmore. One male victim deceased and one female victim sustained a non life threatening gunshot wound to the arm.

1900 E. Capitol one male victim deceased and one additional victims shot with injuries that were described as non life threatening. (Correction by police  from an original report of two people injured by gunshots in addition to the fatality).


Gabriel Carter, 27, has been identified as the victim in the Fillmore Street shooting. Carter's girlfriend said she and Carter where shot by two men in a vehicle.

Kenteria Baines, 20, was identified as the victim on East Capitol. She was found shot in a car that had wrecked with a parked car on East Capitol. A passenger said a man walked up and started shooting into the car.
