UALR's successful women's basketball coach, Joe Foley,
apparently didn't land a new job at Kansas, which was interested, but his winning ways and outside interest have not gone unrewarded.
UALR annnounced Monday that Foley's contract was extended another year, to 2023-24, and he'll get an immediate raise of $53,000 to $215,000. Said a UALR news release
New contract terms for Foley include an immediate base salary increase of $53,000, with scheduled raises over the next four years that will bring his base salary to $250,000. Foley’s deal includes an additional $15,000 for the head coach’s radio show, bringing his total compensation to $265,000 by 2018.
He'll also get more more money for assistant coaches.
Foley has been at UALR for 12 years and has taken teams to the NCAA tournament, including to a second round game this year in a season with 29 wins.
