Worth noting: A trial has begun in Louisiana over alleged fraud in the state’s practice of handing out huge tax credits to TV and movie productions that work in the state.
Also at issue in the trial is the question of whether Louisiana has given away too much — $220 million last year, for example, with the state struggling with a $1.6 billion deficit. And this case isn’t the first hint of corruption in the program.
