Former Gov. Mike Beebe has a place to hang his hat. And how about this? He’ll be sharing space with Asa Hutchinson III, son of the current governor.

The Roberts Law Firm announced on its Facebook page:

Roberts Law Firm announces that Governor Mike Beebe has officially joined Roberts Group (Roberts Law Firm, PA, Roberts GR Strategies, LLC, Made in USA Works, LLC, and Roberts International, LLC), effective March 1, 2015. Governor Beebe will not engage in lobbying activities. We are thrilled to have him on board!

Roby Brock at Talk Business, whose item about this led me to the page, notes that Michael Roberts, the leader of the firm, was a Beebe appointee to the Arkansas EconomicDevelopment Commission and was reappointed by Hutchinson, father of “of counsel” Asa III.

Mike Roberts is brother of Bud Roberts, recently appointed by Hutchinson (the governor, not the son) to head the Alcoholic Beverage Control Division.

The Roberts law firm website advertises “global” legal work. Asa III is listed on the firm’s “government relations” team along with, among others, Kathy Alexander, who lobbies for CenterPoint Energy.
